Field of Dreams Baseball Camp is excited to be partnering up with the Thornhill Baseball Association as a means of pursuing both our goals in promoting and improving baseball in our community!
ABOUT THE CAMP:
The Field of Dreams Baseball Camp (FOD) is a first class baseball camp, located at THORHILL PARK, in Thornhill, Ontario, unlike any other baseball camp around. The camp provides campers a choice of two different programs: A High Performance Camp and a Rookie Ball Camp. Both include baseball instruction in hitting, catching, fielding and throwing, as well as pitching and catching clinics run by experienced coaches. All campers will have an opportunity to participate in an all-star game and a skills competition, along with an award ceremony at the end of each week. In both camp programs, swimming 2-3 times a week at the Thornhill Outdoor Pool will be included in the program.
The goal of FOD is to develop the baseball player as a whole, by teaching the fundamentals and proper skills of the game in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment, while promoting team work, fair play, and a genuine love for the game. In addition to teaching the fundamentals of the game, the program for both sections of the camp will also provide an introductory umpiring tutorial/clinic to campers, as a means of introducing them to the mental aspect of baseball and familiarizing young players with what umpires look for in certain parts of the game.
FOD Baseball Camp is open to boys and girls age 7-14. No baseball experience is required (Please read on about the differences in the high performance camp and the rookie ball camp). The goal for the staff at Field of Dreams Baseball Camp is to provide a fun-filled, exciting summer for each camper!
The Camp is Located at Thornhill Park (Yonge and Centre). Camp hours are 9:00am to 3:00pm. Alternate drop off and pick up times can be arranged, please contact Jennifer if needed.
